Meet: FH 1024
1. What is your current occupation?
I’m listed as a Protector of the Galactic Empire on my LinkedIn profile. Pretty awesome title. It’s an entry level position, but there’s definitely opportunity for growth if I play my cards right.
2. What do you love most about your job and why?
My business card is a hologram. How cool is that? I never had a business card before, let alone a business card that’s a hologram.
I also like the fact I can blend in. When we’re on the Death Star, there’s so many of us I can take really long work breaks. Where are you publishing this? This won’t be seen by Emperor Palpatine, will it?
On my first day at work they gave me a thermal detonator! I haven’t used it yet, but it comes in handy when negotiating with bounty hunters.
3. What has changed in your industry in the past five years?
They’re really strict about the dress code, even when you’re working remotely like I am. I never met him, but I guess Darth Vader can sense when your uniform isn’t to code. From what I hear, the punishment is pretty severe – something called a force choke.
My uncle used to be a stormtrooper and he said the dress code was really relaxed a few decades ago. You know, you could wear jeans on Casual Friday. They used to have toga parties, Hawaiian luaus, Ugly Christmas sweater contests, that sort of thing.
The other thing that’s changed is that these days, Vader is really trying to take over the universe, not just one planet like Endor or Tatooine, but all of them. That’s why I’m at CapeSpace. Just to assert the Empire’s presence.
4. How has CapeSpace improved your work life?
Everyone is so nice here. At first, I think they viewed me as a threat. Then they thought I was security, but now they see me as one of them. And everyone wants to take selfies with me to up their Instagram game.
Here at CapeSpace, I feel much more relaxed. I have the Unlimited Business Lounge Plan which helps me get away from the hustle, bustle and stress of the Death Star. I can really focus on my work without Vader and Palpatine breathing down my neck.
My fellow stormtroopers tell me CapeSpace is the best coworking center they have seen in this sector of the galaxy.
5. What do you enjoy doing in your free time?
I love eating ice cream. Playing golf.
Sometimes when I’m bored, I’ll heat up my coffee with my blaster. That’s a fun way to spend a Saturday.
I also like Monopoly, but the Star Wars edition. And my wife got me hooked on Hallmark movies.
6. What is your favorite place on Cape Cod?
Anywhere near the beach. It really reminds me of Tatooine, but much safer and a lot more relaxing. There’s a pretty scary place on Tatooine called Mos Eisley spaceport where you’ll never find a more wretched hive of scum and villainy.
7. If you could invite any three people living or dead to a dinner party who would they be and why?
I’d have to say Luke Skywalker, Obi-Wan Kenobi, and Princess Leia because I’d invite them to dinner and then betray them right before we serve dessert. Then, I’d turn them over to Darth Vader. I’m pretty sure I’d be in line for a big promotion after that. You can’t make this happen, can you?
8. What is your superpower?
I can sleep while standing up with my helmet on… by the way you never told me whether Palpatine or Vader is going to be reading this.
