Shared Workspace in Mashpee

CapeSpace at Mashpee Commons is located at 13 Steeple Street, above the movie theater and steps away from all the dining, shopping, and entertainment the Commons has to offer.

More intimate than our flagship location in Hyannis, it features all the same services, and we are now able to offer members the ability to use both locations with one membership. The contemporary décor reflects the more downtown feel of Mashpee Commons, and we’ve even drawn inspiration from the natural world in this freshly designed space.

The internet worked on the first try, the monitor and cords were generous, and the room was just the right size, clean, and comfortable.

Today I made what I’m pretty sure will become one of my best business decisions—becoming a member of CapeSpace in Mashpee.

No more searching for tables with an outlet at restaurants and coffee shops, buying overpriced coffee/food as “seat tax”, and ignoring my bladder rather than packing everything up and starting over.

I don’t have to think about where to go and when, outlets are plentiful, coffee’s included, there’s a fridge and microwave, and I can safely leave my stuff to pee! ????

The monthly fee isn’t much more than what I’ve been spending in “seat tax” and after today’s trial run, I’m confident that my increased focus and productivity will be worth the cost.

Plus, I actually got to talk to human beings. And a fun human being, at that. Check out The Office parody Haley sent me, after I noticed her mock Dundee award ????

I want to thank Robbin for literally making it possible for me to give my presentation on Monday June 14! My presentation was for an international symposium. The date had been changed from a time when I was at my home institution to a time when I was visiting the Cape for a family reunion that had been planned for a year. I had planned to rely on the hotel Wi-Fi, which I learned upon arrival was extremely unreliable and dropped out without warning. I called nearly every public and private library on the Cape, including Cape Cod Community College. None were open to the public. I called churches, but none could provide space at that time. I had arrived over the weekend, so these calls had to be done the morning of my Monday afternoon presentation. I was beginning to think I would have to cancel at the last minute.

Fortunately, someone suggested Cape Space.

I called Cape Space and spoke with Robbin. She was very reassuring. She answered all of my questions professionally and with an appreciation of my stressful predicament. Upon arrival, she took me to the space, which was the perfect size, clean, and aesthetically pleasing. She showed me around the facilities, covering all of my possible needs. When I asked for an easel and a higher surface for the laptop, she produced them immediately. She checked back with me twice before my presentation start time to be sure I had everything I needed. I felt completely at ease and ready to give my presentation. In short, I was very impressed with Cape Space, and especially with Robbin’s professionalism and welcoming manner!
