Meet: Scott Leone
Owner of Shoreline Internet
“Cape Space provides a quiet, professional environment for our BNI meetings each week – the ideal climate for new members and guests.”
1. What is your current occupation?
Web development, Internet Marketing, Hosting & Email services.
2. What do you love most about your job & why?
My clients are primarily professionals and small business owners. It’s enjoyable to learn clients’ businesses and to help them do what they do best in this fast-changing environment.
3. What has changed in your industry in the past five years?
Everything is faster and cheaper. Measurement tools and website statistics are far more useful and comprehensive. Prices have come down as the number of free services expands. But even free services require some expertise and Internet experience to coordinate all available resources for the best measurable results.
4. How has CapeSpace improved your work life?
Cape Space provides a quiet, professional environment for our BNI meetings each week – the ideal climate for new members and guests. It’s perfect for networking among with business owners, startups and and self-employed professionals. We hope more Cape Space visitors will share their energy with us each Thursday morning at 7:00 AM.
5. What do you enjoy doing in your free time?
My free time is spent reading about history, 3D drawing, and conceiving of inventions that ought to become household words. And of course, the yard work that allows time to think away from the office.
6. What is your favorite place on Cape Cod?
It’s interesting to explore the Cape during the off season when crowds are few. It’s all good, but the cliffs above the National Seashore are really exhilarating. I tell visitors that they can see all the way to Ireland (and watch them squint at the horizon).
7. If you could invite any three people living or dead to a dinner party who would they be and why?
Even though I’m a history buff, I would want to meet some of today’s living legends, like Elon Musk, Jeff Bezos and Bill Gates. If I could resurrect Nikolai Tesla, I think they all would want him there as well.
8. What is your superpower?
Imagination is everyone’s superpower. It’s important to write down one’s best ideas the moment they occur. My superpower is enjoying, cultivating and encouraging others’ favorite ideas, regardless of practicality and feasibility. It costs nothing to brainstorm with people, and it always produces something no one has ever thought of before.
