If you are having trouble with your cell phone reception, here are some things that can help:
Step 1.
Try turning your phone off, waiting ten seconds and turning it back on. This causes the phone to reconnect to the nearest cell phone tower and can sometimes improve reception
Step 2.
Try moving to a different location.
Step 3.
If neither of those solutions work, we recommend that you set your phone on Wi-Fi Calling, which will enable your phone to use our fiber optic internet connection instead of cellular service. Please follow these instructions:
For iPhone
To Turn Wi-Fi Calling ON:
- Open the Settings menu
- Tap Phone > Wi-Fi Calling
- Look for Wi-Fi Calling on This iPhone and tap the button to turn it on
- Tap Enable
- You may be asked to enter an address for emergency response purposes should you call 911 from your phone. Enter 100 Independence Drive, Hyannis, MA 02601
Once enabled, will see “W-Fi” next to your carrier name in the status bar.
When you leave, turn Wi-Fi Calling OFF:
- Open the Settings menu
- Tap Phone> Wi-Fi Calling
- Look for Wi-Fi Calling on This iPhone and tap the button to turn it off.
