Our Day & Night series highlights the best activities you should do if you only had one morning, afternoon, and evening to spend in each town on Cape Cod. In our Mashpee Winter edition, we highlight a few spots that focus on indoor activities (that are generally COVID-safe), as well as some outdoor check-outs for those rare warm winter days. Enjoy!
Morning: Breakfast at Persy’s Place
Persy’s Place opened its doors in 1982. Since then it has been run and managed entirely by the Heston family and friends. Aside from their outstanding breakfast, they are best-known for their in-house baked bread, and huge serving of chocolate milk!

Take a walk in the Mashpee Woodlands
The Mashpee Woodlands are a little-known gem. Locals are well aware of it, but most people would be surprised to know that less than a half mile from one of the biggest shopping centers on the Cape, Mashpee Commons, there’s a quiet, extremely scenic trail system.
Most of the Woodlands’ trails are single tracks. The most scenic wind through the woods on ground that’s high above the Mashpee River. The views are spectacular. The trails twist through the trees, climbing and descending short hills. They are very pleasant to walk or ride, the only downside being that there are too few of them.

Go to Upside Down Escapes in Mashpee Commons
An escape room is an interactive adventure game for people ages 10 to 110. Players are placed in a room and have 60 minutes to complete a mission by solving a series of puzzles and connecting clues. Games are always private, so you can enjoy the experience with just the team of your choosing. Games include: Nocturnal Keep, Pirates of Cape Cod, 80’s to the Max, and the Gingerbread Cottage (seasonal).
Lunch recommendation: Cape Cod Coffee @ 10 Evergreen Circle
You wouldn’t necessarily know it because of its name, but Cape Cod Coffee boasts some of the Cape’s most delicious homemade American food. Highlights include the loaded fries, Tuna Tacos, and all of their pizza options. Feel free to go for a liquid lunch if you wish, as their large selection of draft pours and creative signature drinks provide many delicious options to choose from.
After lunch: Naukabout Brewery
Whether you’re a beer drinker or not, Naukabout is a great place to kill some time! There’s always something going on at Naukabout. Whether it’s live music, backyard games, family events, movie nights, themed music, trivia, and even sporting events, Naukabout is one of the best places around to have a great time. In the event that you do enjoy a good beer, Naukabout offers a wide and constantly-rotating selection of delicious beers you can only get at this brewery!
Evening activity: Regal Mashpee Commons
Who doesn’t love a good movie? Catch a flick at Regal Mashpee Commons not only for some good old-fashioned entertainment, but also for the location. Stationed square in the middle of Mashpee Commons, you’ll be set up perfectly for some dinner and shopping afterwards without having to find a new parking space! Oh… and pop by and say hi to us at Cape Space while you’re there 🙂
Dinner spot: Estia
Estia is a taverna and bar featuring modern Greek cuisine and coal-fired pizza. Their homemade bread and crust are some of the most flavorful on Cape Cod, and their exquisite atmosphere filled with authentic Greek music and a wide range of wines and cocktails make Estia a must-visit if you’re looking for a top-of-the-line dining experience.
Night life at The Lanes
If you’re not too wiped out from all of your daytime and evening activities, enjoy some snacks, drinks, and bowling at The Lanes in Mashpee Commons. This location is perfect to burn some of those calories from dinner and have a few laughs before calling it quits on your long day perusing Mashpee’s finest attractions.
A place to sleep: The Club at New Seabury
It’s finally time to wind down your day in Mashpee at The Club. The Club at New Seabury is a premier private golf community, boasting resort amenities with spectacular views of the iconic Nantucket Sound. Waking up with that ocean view may make it tougher to wave goodbye to your Mashpee getaway, but you could always book another night and run through this whole list all over again 🙂
