With increased demand from business owners, remote workers, and freelancers on the Upper Cape, CapeSpace will soon be adding a second location in Mashpee Commons.

“One of the places we hear most about is Mashpee and Falmouth,” said CapeSpace President Robbin Orbison. “This is an ideal location that will add to our offerings and make it even more convenient for those in this section of the Cape to work remotely or collaboratively in a shared office space.”

“We are excited to add CapeSpace to Mashpee Commons, especially with the growth of coworking throughout the United States,” said Mashpee Commons Vice President John Renz. “From Steeple Street Music Academy to our recent partnership with EforAll Cape Cod, we strive to find cutting-edge uses for our retail spaces in the Commons. CapeSpace is the latest example of how we’re bringing the types of tenants that are changing the way people live, work, shop, and play.”

Since 2016, CapeSpace has offered a fully-furnished coworking facility in Hyannis that features private offices, conference rooms, a business lounge, virtual offices, a café, and event space. It also offers OpenCape, the region’s fastest and most reliable Wi-Fi. The Mashpee location, situated directly above Regal Cinemas and Siena Restaurant, will offer those same services in a slightly smaller footprint.

Same Coworking Experience

At roughly 3,500-square feet, Mashpee’s CapeSpace will include three conference rooms, six private offices, a café for members, and a business lounge. Mashpee Commons is currently renovating the space which will feature similar design elements to the Hyannis facility.

“Mashpee will have a little bit of its own personality too,” Orbison promised. “We will try to maintain our branding, but also be reflective of the neighborhood we’re in.”

“We couldn’t be more excited for CapeSpace and Mashpee Commons to have such an outstanding resource for coworking individuals and businesses alike to share a great space and have access to 100 percent OpenCape fiber connectivity,” said OpenCape CEO Steve Johnston. “Robbin and her team have been a longtime partner of ours and they understand the necessity of fiber in business and for our region and we look forward to the continued success of CapeSpace.”

This summer, CapeSpace has witnessed an increase in second homeowners and vacationers using its services. With its proximity to New Seabury, the new office could witness similar interest from those who need a reliable, comfortable, inspiring space in which to conduct their business and do their work.

The Mashpee CapeSpace is expected to be finished at some point in October at which point a grand opening and ribbon cutting will be held. Next spring, an outdoor café, adjacent to Regal Cinemas, will be installed for CapeSpace members.
